FAQ

No! ArtRecord's service does not determine whether a work is 'real or fake', but rather establishes a 'uniqueness' certificate. We use technology to leave a 'fingerprint' for the artwork, like a unique identity card. In the future, it can be compared to confirm if it is the same work, preventing substitution or confusion, but it does not authenticate authenticity or artistic value.

ArtRecord's service is not an appraisal and does not endorse the authenticity of works. We record the 'uniqueness' of the work, leaving a unique 'digital fingerprint' at a certain point in time. This can confirm in future comparisons whether it is the 'same' work and not replaced. A fake painting will only leave its own 'fingerprint' and cannot become a genuine piece. The ArtRecord system cannot 'whiten' fake paintings because we do not provide authenticity judgments.

Developed by ArtRecord, using high-resolution microscopy to scan paintings and store image files using blockchain technology, helping clients establish unique, tamper-proof, and verifiable artistic fingerprints for their collections.

Before evidence collection, clients must book services on the ArtRecord official website, prepare basic contact information, painting materials and dimensions, and follow the instructions to complete the evidence collection application.

Based on different client needs, we provide four plans for you to choose from. You can click 'Certification Plans' in the top right corner of the homepage to learn about pricing and plan details.

Evidence collection will be conducted at ArtRecord and its agent locations. Before the process begins, professional staff will confirm the environment meets standards. If you choose the Full Coverage comprehensive evidence collection plan, agents and lawyers will participate in verification, providing you with legal evidence and insurance value for peace of mind.

After evidence collection is completed, your painting information will be stored on the blockchain, and you will receive an officially recognized ArtRecord certificate, ensuring the files are tamper-proof and impartial.

Different artwork materials and dimensions will affect the feasibility and accuracy of evidence collection. You can first book evidence collection services on the ArtRecord homepage, fill in your contact information and artwork details for our professional assessment.

The main differences are in verification equipment and whether there are time and location restrictions. 'Self-Verification' can be operated using handheld microscopes at any time and location; 'Institutional Verification' provides higher resolution and precision verification services, and must be conducted at ArtRecord and its agent locations for the complete process.

You can follow the instructions and precautions in the 'Successfully Booked Verification Service' email to choose self-transportation or use ArtRecord's partnered professional logistics agencies to complete the transportation.

Handheld equipment is portable and can be operated at any time and location, providing customers with self-service quick verification; mechanical equipment combines professional-grade microscopes with sliding platforms, located at ArtRecord and its agent locations, featuring fully automated processes, high-precision image comparison, and standardized report output.
